An adventure into the heart of the Kimberley without roughing it, this tour travels from Broome to the Mitchell Plateau via the Gibb River Road visiting Windjana Gorge, Tunnel Creek, Bells / Galvans / Manning Gorges with time for a swim in the waterfalls. This tour combines ancient Aboriginal art, working cattle stations and time to absorb the outback spirit.

day 1:
Welcome to Broome! Your tour guide will pick you up from the airport and give you a tour of the township, before dropping you to the luxurious Cable Beach Club Resort for the evening. Experience a fabulous Cable Beach sunset with hors d'oeuvres provided by your tour guide.

DAY 2:
This morning we head east from Broome along the Great Northern Highway, crossing the massive Fitzroy River. Stopping to visit the Boab Prison Tree, we branch off along dirt road (famous Gibb River Road) and explore by torchlight Tunnel Creek. Next to Windjana Gorge looking for some fresh water crocodiles.
Overnight: Imintji permanent wilderness camp or Mt Hart Station.

DAY 3:
Today we travel further on the Gibb River Road traveling through the King Leopold Range, with our first stop at scenic Bells Gorge, one of the Kimberley's most spectacular gorges. Our second stop is Galvans Gorge, one of the most picturesque gorges on the Gibb. Time permitting; we finish the day off with Manning Gorge.
Overnight: Mt Elizabeth Station, homestead room.

DAY 4:
We leave the Gibb River Road and, via Kalumburu Road, make our way to Drysdale River Station - a traditional working Cattle station. Enjoy a cold drink at a real outback station.

DAY 5:
Today we head up Kalumburu Road toward the famous Mitchell falls, where we cross the King Edward River for a swim and some Aboriginal rock art viewing, including Wandjina art and the mysterious Bradshaw paintings, before arriving at the Mitchell Plateau. Passing through Livistonia Palms and some of the best views that money can't buy.
Overnight: Ungolan permanent wilderness camp (when unavailable, we camp and a rebate is provided).

DAY 6:
This morning we explore the Mitchell Plateau and trek to Mertens Falls and then on to the famous 4-tiered Mitchell Falls. Plenty of time to swim, photograph and just absorb the scenery. At lunch time we say farewell as you board your helicopter for an exhilarating flight over the falls and onward to join your awaiting cruise vessel.
